Hi, I am Cynthia, co-founder of Kikoff. I immigrated to the United States when I was 17 and was the first in my family to attend a four-year college, thanks to a scholarship. College education completely changed my life and gave me the opportunity to build a successful 16-year career in consumer finance, during which I learned a lot about how challenging it is for young people to navigate the credit system and how costly it is to not have good credit. Grateful for the opportunities and help I received, I have always aspired to pay it forward and create opportunities for others. So I co-founded Kikoff to help people new to credit build credit for free and reach their full potential financially.
I live in the Bay Area with my family. In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my two boys. The causes I care about and support include environment, education and protection against domestic violence.
Hi, I’m Christophe, and I am a Midwestern native. I moved to the Bay thirteen years ago to attend college on scholarship. I’ve since worked in technology and have always wanted to help young Americans’ achieve the American Dream. Now, with Kikoff, I can! My credit score is 795. The first time I applied to a loan, I was rejected because of an erroneous account that was on my credit file. No one should be surprised by what they see on their credit report!
In my free time I enjoy running, climbing, biking, and reading non-fiction. I’ve also brewed a couple of my own beers, and am interested in making some wine!
Hi, I’m Kevin, and I am a Canadian living in the U.S. I moved to the Bay Area after college to work in technology. As a Canadian, my credit history did not apply to the U.S. system, so I had to start from scratch when I moved down. I can still feel the sting of rejection from the banks that turned me away for my first credit card. That’s why I’m excited to be at Kikoff, bringing safe and accessible credit building to everyone. Prior to Kikoff, I worked on rider-facing products at Lime.
In my free time, I enjoy hockey (Canadian, eh?), hiking, piano, traveling, and eating good food. My favorite travel memory is hitchhiking 500km from Tokyo to Osaka.
Hi, I’m Tony, I’m an intern here at Kikoff and a born and raised Canadian! I’m currently a college junior attending school here in Canada studying business and computer science. Applying for my first credit card was a daunting process and learning the harsh realities of credit building wasn’t any easier. Kikoff would have been a great way for me to embark on my credit journey and I hope that it’ll help people avoid the same mistakes I made!
I like cooking, playing the guitar, hockey, and the occasional game of pickup basketball. A fun fact about me is that I can solve a rubik’s cube in 15 seconds!
