Consistent on-time payments are a key part of building credit. With Rent Reporting, your rent is another on-time payment that gets reported to Equifax and TransUnion each month, making this an easy win.1

Report up to 2 years of prior rental payments with a one-time fee of $50. If you’ve been paying rent for years, you should get credit for it.
Only successful rental payments are reported, so if we can’t find payment information for a month, we won’t report it and it won’t impact your credit.1

Endless ways to build credit, all in one place
Link the bank account you use to make your rental payments
Submit a valid lease and your landlord information for verification
Kick back and relax. Your rental payments will start getting automatically reported
With Rent Reporting, Kikoff can help you build your credit using the rent you already pay. All you need to do is link the bank account you currently use to pay your rent, submit your lease and landlord information, and let us report your on-time payments automatically. Please note that linking your bank account is for rental payment validation only and no money will be withdrawn from your account for Rent Reporting.
Your payment history is one of the most important factors in building your credit score and our Rent Reporting service helps you log more on-time payments to keep that payment history strong. Once verified, each rent payment will be submitted at the beginning of the following month. And once received, it typically takes about 2-3 weeks to appear on your credit report.
Reporting of all future rent payments is included with a Kikoff Basic, Premium or Ultimate subscription and does not require an additional payment to use. Premium and Ultimate users also have the option to get past rent payments (up to 24 months ago) reported for a one-time fee of $50.
Kikoff will only report positive rental payment data. This means that if there is a month where a rent payment is not found, Kikoff will not report any rental data that month and your score will not be negatively affected.
Reporting rent through Kikoff will be reported to Equifax and TransUnion, and may be reported to additional bureaus in the future.
No, only payments made from your linked bank account will be accepted and reported as rental payments.
Rent payments must be at least $100 to be accepted. There is no maximum rental payment amount.
No worries - you might pay a slightly different amount each month if your utilities are included in your rent or if you have to pay any additional fees to your landlord. Although your base rent is what we report as paid each month, we can still match a transaction for slightly more or less. Keep in mind that if your rent amount is very different from the initial rent payment we identify, you may have to log in and rematch your next transaction.
